Getting Cited by LLMs: A Practitioner Checklist
Language models cite sources they can parse cleanly and trust. That means the work is half content structure and half credibility signals — the same two levers that have always driven organic visibility.
Lead every key page with a plain-language answer to the exact question it targets. Models lift concise, self-contained statements far more often than they lift a paragraph that buries the point in the fourth sentence.
Attach evidence. Numbers, dates, named sources, and first-hand results give a model something concrete to quote and a reason to prefer you over a vaguer competitor.
Keep your entity footprint consistent. Same name, same bio, same claims across your site, LinkedIn, and anywhere else you publish. Contradictory signals make you a riskier source to cite.
